A portable decant solution for the global supply of lime and limestone

Floveyor Tanker Loader

The challenge of dusty materials

A global supplier of lime and limestone approached Floveyor with a specific brief. They required a conveying solution for rapid, high-volume decanting of dusty materials. The solution had to be relocatable between their operations in Australia and New Zealand. With their product carrying the potential for high-risk impact on the environment, the conveyor solution also had to provide high-grade dust containment.

The client’s lime operations focus on the production of high-calcium and dolomitic lime, and lime-based products such as hydrated lime and pulverised limestone and construction stone. The resulting products are used in the purification of air and water, and the production of steel, paper, and metals.

With the potential for a high-risk impact on the environment, dust containment and a well-sealed system were integral to their central transport location near the Great Barrier Reef.

Solution

Floveyor supplied the client with two Floveyor F5 Tanker Loaders – the ‘go-to’ solution for rapid, high-volume decanting of dusty materials. The F5 Tanker Loader is also a portable conveyor.

The versatile F5 Tanker Loader provides a fit for purpose and affordable solution for the client, featuring an integrated dust collector extracting 3,500m³ of dust-laden air, allowing full containment during the piercing and dumping of even the dustiest materials.

The efficient F5 Tanker Loader is semi-mobile and relocatable – with no fixings or structural pad requirements it provides the perfect decant solution The machine allows rapid mobilisation, application and demobilisation while delivering the benefits and features of a fixed plant application.

Results

Floveyor and the client have enjoyed a long working relationship since 2015. The Floveyor F5 Tanker Loaders are providing the ideal materials handling solution for the client’s specific requirements to handle lime and have already been relocated a number of times between Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand.
