Floveyor exhibits at APPEX 2024

The Australasian Processing + Packaging Expo (APPEX) is coming to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 12-15 March 2024 and Floveyor will be there. APPEX is a showcase for the wider processing and packaging industry. All sectors of the industry are represented including machinery, ancillary equipment, materials and packaging, food processing, and industry services.

Thousands of food and beverage manufacturers all over the world use Floveyor bulk material handling conveyors. With a new product launch and recent recognition for innovation and growth, Floveyor is looking forward to exhibiting at APPEX. Managing Director Rhys Walker said one of the best things about an expo like APPEX is meeting up with current customers and making new contacts.

“Food and beverage applications have always been a mainstay of our business,” Rhys said.

“We’re bringing our new Tubular Drag Conveyor Distribution System with us so food processors can see it for themselves and talk to our powder handling specialists about use cases.

“Our polymer rope assembly in our drag conveyor is a game changer for food-grade conveying of powders and granules.”

About Floveyor’s newest powder handling conveyor

Floveyor launched the Tubular Drag Conveyor (TDC) Distribution System in January.  Like the Floveyor aero-mechanical conveyor (AMC), the TDC Distribution System is a fully enclosed system that provides a stringent level of safety and cleanliness for bulk material handling. The TDC is designed to manage complex routes and multiple discharge points, making it an ideal choice for powder handling across multiple planes and horizontal or vertical elevations.

In addition to the TDC, Floveyor will be exhibiting the AMC and other process line technology essential to the food and beverage industry.

APPEX: An all-of-industry event

APPEX is owned and operated by the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA). If you haven’t heard of APPEX, it’s because this will be the first official exhibition under that name. Since 1985, APPMA has operated the popular AUSPACK, an exhibition for packaging and processing. As it’s grown, the focus has expanded to encompass the entire processing and packaging sector. APPMA Chairman Mark Dingley announced the change at the APPMA Awards of Excellence gala dinner in 2022.

“Now is the right time to truly bring everyone together across the spectrum of processing and packaging into one show. APPEX will be one exhibition for the industry, run by the industry,” he said.

In addition to the exhibition, people attending APPEX can participate in networking, seminars, and live demonstrations. There are additional programs for women in processing and packaging, the meat industry, retailers, students, and sustainability in packaging.
